She certainly doesn’t. Or perhaps she’s on the way to Toronto to attend a seminar to keep up to date on the current market and discover new ways to serve her clients better. Maybe the seminar is about new home financing strategies, the latest luxury amenities and interior design ideas, or client expectations in rural properties. Still again, she might simply be visiting one of the dozens of friends she’s made over the seven successful years that she’s been serving the people of Durham and surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, husband Scott when he is not out on appointments is likely working behind the scenes, scheduling future appointments and open houses, dealing with a stack of administrative paperwork, sorting out maintenance issues for property investors, solving problems for buyers or making the sale of a home as lucrative and stress-free as it can be.
Of course, you might just see him doing something as simple and as satisfying as putting up a “SOLD” lawn sign.

If the couple had a slogan, it might be ‘the right home at the right price right now.’ “One of our biggest challenges is to sell homes that were previously almost impossible to sell,” Kathleen says. “This often involves a lot of hard work and research, not the least of which includes finding the right financial company so our clients pay the least amount of interest.” Their personal philosophy, not co-incidentally, reflects those of the company they own, and one word seems to sum up this attitude best – dedication “We never place anything, including our own interests, before the loyalty and duties to our clients,” she says. “I believe that our true value can be measured only by the level of respect which we’ve earned from both our past clients and our current competitors.” That philosophy also includes an in-depth understanding of each customer’s needs and a commitment not only to serve a diverse clientele, but to contribute to local businesses and the community as a whole.
When she’s not relaxing with a captivating book, you’ll likely find Kathleen cooking or listening to modern or classical music.
